Biography

Patrick Hyatte, from Saint Paul Minnesota, began playing violin at the age of seven after falling in love with the its lush and beautiful sound. He graduated from Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in 2016, and as a young musician he was a member of many youth music programs including Minnesota Youth Symphonies, Artaria Chamber Music School, and the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS). In 2020 He received his Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Minnesota, studying under Professor Sally O’Reilly. Awards include MNSOTA Mary West Solo competition-Senior Division, Lamont Chamber Music Competition, and SPCO Youth Chamber Music Competition. Patrick has also participated in a number of summer music festivals including the Pienza Music Festival in Italy, Eastern Music Festival, and Sphinx Performance Academy. He is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors for GTCYS. In 2022 attained a Master’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music under the tutelage of Linda Wang. Additionally, he has been positively impacting lives as a teacher to many young string players both privately and in group class settings for the past 5 years. Most recently, Patrick worked as the Community Education Coordinator for the Colorado Symphony and as a DYAO Violin Teaching Artist for the 23.24 season, whilst performing with various regional ensembles along Colorado’s front range. He is now performing and teaching privately full-time in the greater Denver metropolitan area. He loves reading, caring for his plants, his two dogs, painting, knitting & crocheting, and has a keen interest in cinema, music, fashion and pop culture.
